Ash Valerian

Ash Valerian is the primary protagonist and the narrator of the main House Valerius series.

As the series begins, he is heir apparent to the Lordship of House Valerius, a relatively privileged position, but one that also carries a fair degree of expectations of him. As part of his upbringing, he has been taught some martial arts and the use of weapons.

He is also the youngest of the main characters and the most unsure of himself, trying his best to emulate his father Matthias and his Uncle Marcus.

He is particularly close to his cousin Elizabeth; the two of them having grown up together, so that he views her more like a sister than his cousin. He is also close to Casey Preston, who has become almost an older sister to him.
