I’m tired of the way things have been going lately, with regards to my writing and this blog post. And… Read more June Goals (& some covers)
I’m going to try something a bit different for this month’s goals.
Time for another round up of how last month goals went. And, as usual, there’s some good and some bad.
For March, my main focus is going to be on getting some writing done. For 2018 so far, it’s felt a lot like I’ve spent more time working on related things like this blog, book reviews, etc than I have doing actual writing.
Looking back at my February goals, pretty much the best I can say is that I was more successful with them than the ones I set myself in January. But, as you might remember, that was a pretty low bar to clear.
I’m carrying over the majority of last month’s goals into this month, although with one or two small tweaks.
I think I want to keep my goals for January simple & straight-forward; my way of easing myself into the new year. A lot of this month will be focused on planning and preparing for the rest of the year but I do still intend to get some writing done.
Without dwelling on the failures of 2017, I’m trying to make my 2018 goals reflective of what I learned from last year, not just what I ideally want to accomplish.
A lot of things that I wanted to get done this past year didn’t work out. I could go on about what I think my failings were, but I won’t. Not that I don’t think there’s value in acknowledging my mistakes, quite the opposite, but dwelling on them doesn’t do me too much good either. I’d rather close out the year and move into the new one on a more positive note.
