The past few days I’ve been sort of re-reading (well, listening to my audiobook version) Dune by Frank Herbert. It’s been a while and, for some reason, it came almost as a surprise to me how much of a debt I owe to it.
I can think of a few specific books where, in addition to the stories themselves, there is an introduction and a little bit of a background about the stories. How they came to be written, what inspired them, and the like.
I was thinking, after some of my recent setbacks, that I should remind myself why I’m doing what I’m doing and what I want to accomplish with it.

Over the years, there has been a number of novel series that I’ve read and enjoyed. Some are still going, some I stuck with through to the end, some kind of fell by the wayside.
In my goals for February, I said I wanted to make a decision about whether or not I was going to do interviews. And, for better or worse, I think I’ve made one.
